I have the honor of helping lead a Celebrate Recovery group in South Bend, IN. CR is a 12 step program that helps people deal with their hurts, habits, and hang ups, with their higher power Jesus Christ. Some have had unthinkable things done to them by loved ones that they can’t shake. Some are folks who have made poor decisions. And some are people who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. But no matter what their issue is they all feel unworthy of being loved. So first we love them. And then we point them to the Cross. You see, until you know, or in many cases remember, what Jesus did for you, He’s just a guy we see hanging on a Cross in front of churches. A number of weeks ago I was introduced to a powerful song by Tina Bunch. It’s by a group called Big Daddy Weave. The song is called Redeemed. If you are struggling with your life today; if you feel unloved; if you feel you have blown it and God could never love you again because of what you have done, please listen to this. Let me first assure you that none of that is true. God is crazy in love with you and is waiting to redeem you.
